Description:

John Oxley. Built 1927 in Paisley Scotland for service as pilot vessel, buoy tender and lighthouse tender along Queensland coast. Accomodation for up to 14 pilots. Taken over by Navy during WW II for use as examination vessel. Returned to peacetime service until 1968. Donated to Sydney Heritage Fleet in 1970. James Craig had priority for restoration - see pic this site. For more information go to www.shf.org.au

I did the last trip this vessel undertook before it was given to the maritimemuseum in sydney
