Description:

M.v. Koralle ex Wiros -59, 836 gross tons, built Landskrona, 1937, rebuilt there in 1959.
Owned by Shaw Steamships of Halifax from 1967. In June 1969 struck submerged object near Fort Chimo, Ungava Bay. Vessel had to be beached. Was thereafter condemned, but sailed on own power back to Halifax where she was laid up until May 1977.

I sailed on the koralle as bosun when she hit the rocks off
fort chimo back in 1968,Good to see a photo of her again,
