WELCOME TO SHIPSPOTTING.COM
Description:
RUBEN MARTINEZ VILLENA is seen leaving the Royal Edward Lock at Avonmouth on 20th November 1992.
A Soviet "Dnepr" type, built at Kherson in 1982, she operated for Empresa de Navigation Mambisa of Havana, Cuba until 1993.
Subsequently, she has taken the names: ARMONICOS, ADAMAS PEACE (in 1994), MULTIDIAMOND (in 1995), CAPTAIN WAEL (in 2002), SENEZH (in 2005) and now TARUSA (from Sept 2007)
According to Equasis, as TARUSA, she operates under the Georgian flag, managed by ISKONA SHIPMANAGEMENT LTD, still owned by SENEZH SHIPPING LTD and classed by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
Her sailing was delayed by an unfortunate injury to a crew member caused by a snapped mooring rope.
Fortunately (for me) the decision was quickly made to disembark him (with the pilot) at Barry Roads for hospitalisation so the vessel still proceeded on her voyage and sailed from Avonmouth in daylight.
Former name(s):
- Senezh (Until 2007 Aug)
- Captain Wael (Until 2005 Jun)
- Multidiamond (Until 2002 Jun)
- Adamas Peace (Until 1995 Dec)
- Armonicos (Until 1994 Jun)
- Ruben Martinez Villena (Until 1993 Jun)
