Description:

I apologize for the quality, but I took this shot (as with some others I am posting) when I was a child with no photography knowledge and a cheap and indifferent camera.

Launched 26 January 1952 at Innoshima by Hitachi Zosen KK as hull no. 3696 for Iino Kaiun KK, Tokyo. 496’2” x 62’4” x 27’5;” 7732 gt, 4489 nt; 9 cylinder Burmeister & Wain Diesel, 740mm x 1600, 8300-bhp, built by Mitsui Zosen. Later *Mitera Assimina* (1972) and *Cavo Frigelos* (1976). Broken up at Gadani Beach 1978.

One of the exceptionally handsome cargo liners that Iino operated on its Great Lakes-Far East service, shown at Navy Pier, Chicago, Illinois USA, in June 1961.
