Het wreck of this small tug was berthed on a pontoon.
Thanks to shipspotting.com with the help of others it was possible to identify and retrace the whereabouts of this ship!
This little ship appears to be the small tug ‘Amicitia’.

AMICITIA (2) (20.01803)
Built 1941 by shipyard Czaar Peter, Zaandam.
LxWxD.: 11,28 x 3,44 x 1,19 meter,
displacement 4,8 m3.
1 x 2 cilinder Kromhout nr. 5219 type 2-M-3 uit 1929 vermogen 80 apk. = 59 kW.
Former names:
04-03-1941 HENJA H.J.van Oord, Blokzijl till
08-05-1942.
11-12-1995 registration erased.

She is nowadays owned by the foundation ‘for the preservation of the ‘Amicitia’. Her history is rather short and uncertain. Short because from 1941 she was only a few years in service. In 1942 the Amicitia was confiscated by the Germans. When in 1944 the crank-shaft was broken the ship was taken to Rotterdam for repairs. Then something went wrong and the ship sank in the Koningshaven(Rotterdam). There she was found in 2003 by divers inspecting the pillars of the Koninginnebrug.
The foundation is raising funds to restore this little ship. Presently she is located at the shipyard Trix in Scheveningen harbour.
More information can be obtained from the secretary of the foundation, Mr. Tiemen Zoer.
