Description:
The SD14 variant BELLE is seen sailing from Liverpool on 21st April 1984.
Built in 1974 by Austin & Pickersgill at Sunderland for Rogers & Co. of Port Louis, Mauritius, she was delivered as BELLE ROSE. She, and her sistership BELLE ISLE, were presumably designed with the carriage of bulk sugar in mind.
In 1983, she was purcahased by Margaronis and her name was shortened to BELLE.
In 1991 she was sold to become KATERINA, then in 1993 OCEAN HO, then owned by North Korea who in 1999 renamed her JANG DAE SAN.
She was sadly wrecked on 22.7.99 in a position 23.35.45N/67.55.30E, salved and broken up at Gadani Beach during 2001/2
