SCHWERIN is seen in the River Mersey on 20.08.91, about to swing to starboard prior to docking at Birkenhead.
A Warnowwerft "Meridian" type, delivered in 1980 for Deutsche Seereederei VEB of Rostock, she was sold in 1993, taking the name UNIMAR.
In 1998 she was sold on to Egypt and given the name TRANS CARGO 4 (Equasis states TRANS CARGO IV between January 2004 and July 2007)
Equasis also reports that, in December 2007, TRANS CARGO 4 was sold locally in Eqypt to MATSO SHIPPING who now operate her as ATAQA under the Panamanian flag.
