Yes, very cold indeed.

Did go down to watch the 'Verona' come in but missed it completly. Saw the back end of it sailing up river when I got on the bus at South Shields! More patience required by me I think.

Hi Allan

Yes I was down there in my car so had the added bonus of at least having some shelter between ship arrivals. Also had the radio on so could keep up to date with the arrivals/delays and departures :-o

One tip - if you want some shelter, try the Ferry Landings as a base.
