She had to make a stop in Halifax to get some turbine oil for the heater due to a leak in the boiler. They could not deliver thermal oil so turbine oil had to be used instead.

Impessive looking photo, specially because of the view. :-)

Had the vessel problems or sth as she should´ve been on her way from Corner Brook to Spain...

Thanks. I'm not sure if she had problems but if she does she will most likely be in Halifax Shipyard within a day or two, so I'll keep an eye out in the drydocks.

Cheers,

Kier

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. If she really had problems they must have been minor as she unfortunately has continued her journey towards atlantic as you can see from the Sailwx tracking: http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shipposition.phtml?call=SJEI

An another reason might be awaiting better weather?

Could be, I suppose. Halifax Harbour is relatively well sheltered so that could be it. If she was in for shelter it might be because of her cargo (is it cars? If so, a rocky ride may be bad for them.) It was windy last night so I wouldn't be surprised.

Cheers,

Kier

Her cargo should be forest products, woodpulp etc.

Her cargo is paper. Big paper rolls

Really? I wouldn't have guessed that. So my theory of her cargo is incorrect.
