Three sisterships ( there were also Frano Supilo and Ivan Mažuranić ) were built in Kraljevica 1961/62 and traded on Adriatic - North Europe line for about 15 years. After that they were employed mainly on Italy - North Africa voyages, but also called for a few times in U.K. ports. This is not only the last appearing of Laginja in these waters, but also the last voyage for her in Jugolinija colours. All three freighters were sold and delivered to the new owner in the period 30th June -15th July 1981. Matko Laginja was scrapped as Cer Amity in June 1984. at Split, Croatia after long lay-up at Cres island.

Thanks Derek. The shot was taken on a TSS trip to the Harwich/Ipswich area and was the first and only occasion I had "shipspotted" at Ipswich. Was she a frequent visitor there?
