Recentlu acquired a painting of the Lancer. An original oil in naieve style, it is signed C.V> WRIGHT. I imagine he was a nautical man.It is painted in oil on board, about 3' x 13". Very good details.The writing on the bow reads"BRITISH LANCER LONDON". A piece of rope frames the board.I see that Mr Wright, who was at some point a Bosun, was well known for his ship paintings.There is apparently more info regarding him on 'Ships Nostalgia', but I find it impossible to access the website due to the complex logging in procedure! Any more info appreciated.
