Built 1943 at Slidell, LA, by the Canulette SBCoInc. as hull no. 3 for the United State Maritime Commission, Washington, as a V2-ME-A1 tug. 93.1' x 25 x 11.6; 199 gt, 87 nt; 8-cylinder Enterprise Diesel, 16" x 20, 1000-bhp. She was sold to Crescent in 1946 and has served that owner ever since under her original name. She was repoowered in 1972 with a GE 7FDM12 Diesel, 3000-bhp.
