BTW: Where abouts do you take photos from in IJmuiden, I'm down for a day on the 27th and I would love to get some great shots of the goings on in IJmuiden. :-)

Hello Kevin

For cargo/tankers/bulkers/RO/RO/etc.

In the morning at the locks of IJmuiden, the best place is on the North side of the in/out bound of the locks.
About 12 in the afternoon, when the sun is turning to the South, the best place is on the South side of the in/out bound of the locks.

For the Ferrie: is at the head of the Terminal(they call it - de kop van de haven, with a fish restaurant, called the same)

Only I hope there is a lot of traffic for you on the 27th, because that's different every day.

Lots of shots and nice weather.

Kind Regards
Willem
