M.v."Havsand" Callsign: OZ2121.
Allision in Kiel-Holtenau.
Enroute from Szczecin to Esbjerg the "Hav Sand" had an allision with the tail of the Northern lock of the Kiel Canal locks in Kiel-Holtenau on March 1, 2018, at 11 p.m. The ship had turned on to enter the lock when it veered to starboard being caught by a wind gust or due to a wrong maneuver. The ship's bulwark slammed against the tail and bent two sheets. It was allowed to continue the voyage at 12.30 a.m., ETA Esbjerg March 3.
