Description:
The Croatian ro-ro ferry CRES is one of three sister ships which Jadrolinija ordered in early 2003 from three yards. The Viktor Lenac yard ran into financial difficulties, so the CRES was completed in June 2005 by Brodosplit-BSO. The sister ships, SVETI KRSEVAN and SUPETAR, entered service in 2004.
Principal characteristics: 87.6 x 17.5 x 2.4 m. 2438 GT, 781 NT. 4 x VOLVO PENTA 165A diesel engines, power 1616 kW, speed 11.5 kn. 100 cars, 600 passengers. July 2005 put into service on the Valbiska (isle of Krk) - Merag (isle of Cres) run. In 2008 she was seen on the Brestova - Porozina (isle of Cres) run.
