I've been looking everywhere to find a shot of this vessel! Indeed a wonderful ship, the last all-gun cruiser in service in any navy in the world. She was also the last cruiser in the Dutch navy (ex-Hr.Ms. DE RUYTER). Many thanks! If onyl we could bring her back to Holland (but I doubt anyone in the Netherlands would be willing to shell out the kind of money needed to preserve this ship as a museum). Hopefully the Peruvians will keep her as a museum when she is finally decomissioned.

I remember seeing her sister ALMIRANTE AGUIRRE (ex-Hr.Ms. DE ZEVEN PROVINCIEN) off Callao back in '99, but she's been scrapped in the meantime :-(
