Description:

The Eddystone seen turning around in Marchwood near Southampton. She turned from being stern-on to the berth to bow-on to the berth, not sure why. Seen 10th September 2008

The linkspan on Marchwood No.4 berth (the berth she's on in this photo) is out of action, so it's in use for layby purposes. She wasn't going anywhere for a few days and so moved round to No.4 from No.3 to allow the Hurst Point to come in, which happened later that evening. These ships only have a stores/cargo crane on their starboard side, so the decision was taken to go SST to make life a bit easier for loading stores etc.
