German former river passenger ship M.D. Pöppelmann, bt. 1963, at Dresden on 16.6.2008.
On the ship is now a hotel, "Die Koje" with very cheap rates.

Orig. builtly as Diesle-Electro-Wheelership Karl MARX (yob 1963) by VEB Rosslauer Schiffswerft Rosslau/GDR ( Yard-No. 2848) for for VEB Fahrgastschiffahrt "Weisse Flotte" Dresden/GDR, in 1991 new Owner by Sächsische Dampfschiffahrts GmbH & Co., later Conti-Elbschiffahrts-KG, renamed in DANIEL PÖPPELMANN (nevertheless, never under this name used!). Passenger's capacity 1021 persons/ Loa 69.91 m / width: 13.30 m.
Together with FRIEDRICH ENGELS ( see -> J.FR.BÖTTGER) in 1992-1994 rebuilt, use as a youth hotel.
