Update on Hamnfjord.

We've looked extensively into her with view to rescuing her and restoring/converting her into a sailing cargo vessel to join the resergence of sail cargo vessels.
She is currentlyu at Pounds yard in Tipnor on the way into Portsmouth and has been there since 2016. Late December 2019 storms blew her back on the mud bank behind her berth resulting in her rudder breaking loose and punching a hole through her counter causing her to sink due to a previous partial house boat conversion removing the engine room bulkead. She has been sunk at the base of the wharf since and is currently set to be broken for scrap in early 2022 unless a rescue plan and onward home is secured.

I noted her lying at the former Pound's yard near Portsmouth on 2/2/18 - assume she's still there.

Anyone know what actually happened to HAMNFJORD after 2008?

Thanks Allan. Suspect that she may well not be AIS-fitted.

I see that she is still listed as UK flag. Owner back in 1999, when she came to UK was D Nurse of Uxbridge.
Originally built as a sailing herring drifter

Hi there

Interesting the site has this vessel listed as dead and indeed she does not appear in Equasis. Southampton VTS, however, have her down as leaving Smith's Quay for den Helder on 2nd Feb, but she is not showing up on AIS yet.
