COMMENT THIS PHOTO(2)
As Yorkshire she severed Bibby Line of Liverpool mostly on various liner company charters until 1971. From 1963-1964 she was chartered to Indo China S N Co( Jardine Mattherson) after that she went to Clan Line and CSAV of Chile for several years operating to West coast of South America. I would suggest the photo was taken in 1964 when she was handed back to Bibby by Indo China and renamed Yorkshire and had her funnel re-painted in Bibby colours. While in Indo China service she was renamed Eastern Princess. Another possibility would be between 60 and 63 when she was chartered to Avenue Shipping.
She was sold in 1971 to Bordagain Shipping, Monrovia, and renamed Bordabekoa, sold again in 1981 to Douglas SA, Panama and renamed Sea Reliance as such she arrived in Bombay on 8th March 1984 for scrapping. She was a very good ship.
Best Regards
