Hi Phil, does it by any chance show how the bulb is faired into the hull towards the bottom of the hull below the waterline in this pic?

Marinus Smits must have liked this type of bulb as a few of the smits ships have them. I liked the pale green colour they were originally painted, and thought they looked quite smart, It is a shame to see her end up like she has. Phil, Were you on board her when you saw the ga plan?

Actually, no. The ship's original GA plan shows that she has a bulbous bow already fitted. Many ships were built like this - with a bulbous bow as an apparent 'add-on'
