m/v COSCO SINGAPORE (with blue funnel)
was build in 2001

Only 13 of these vessels were build.
6 vessels were build in 1997
at Kawasaki Heavy Industries
LU HE, YUE HE, CHUAN HE, WAN HE, JIN HE
and YUN HE (YUN HE was renamed in december 2001 into m/v COSCO QINGDAO)

2 vessels were build in 2001 & 2002 at Cosco Nantong shipyard
(Corporation between Cosco and Kawasaki H.I.)
COSCO ANTWERP in 2001 & COSCO FELIXSTOWE in 2002

5 vessels were build in 2001 & 2002 at Kawasaki Heavy industries (Sakaide, Japan)
COSCO SHANGHAI, COSCO HAMBURG, COSCO SINGAPORE,
COSCO ROTTERDAM, COSCO HONG KONG

Special about these 13 vessels, is that they can take more containers in their holds (under deck) than on deck.
Also their bows are very aquadynamic.

In 2007 these 5446 TEU vessels can be replace by one of the 8 X 10.000 TEU vessels which Cosco has ordered.
