I'm with Cody, what a good catch !!
Cody, looks like they're working on the prop, prop shaft, bearing, seal, etc. If they can get enough trim on a ship to get the offending item out of the water, it saves on drydocking. Generally only an option on (smaller) tankers, which have the flexibility of multiple tanks (ballast and cargo) and the associated pumps, lines, etc. Looks more spectacular than it is, but you'd want to warn the galley staff...........

Yes, I think they were working on the seal to the propeller shaft.
