An unexpected bonus for ship-nuts from the current economic recession is that many ships owned by (particularly German) chartering companies are reverting to their original names, which in many cases the ships have never borne in service. So you get the opportunity to photograph the same ship under yet another guise.
Hamburg-based E R Schiffahrt (named after Erck Rickmers, a member of the famous, German, shipowning and shipbuilding family) is one such chartering specialist.
