HI Brendan and James, I joined the BP Endeavour Nov the 2nd 1966 at Port Adelaide and I was there well into 1967, maybe we were on her together, she was originally called the British Cygnet

For Brendan Sardelic. I sailed on the BP Eneavour for several months in 1966 and can confirm that we carried refined products from Kwinana to ports throughout Australia. Incidentally, there is a fair chance that I was on board when the photo was taken - had just seen a Fremantle girl for the last time.......time......

Thanks for sharing this photo of such an old tanker, Ian! Nice to see some photos of the way things were at the Kwinana Oil Refinery all those years ago. One question, though: She appears to be sailing laden, so I am guessing that this was a product tanker that used to supply the Australian coast with the refined petroleum rather than being used to transport crude oil from the oil fields to the refinery, but cannot tell for sure. Just for my own info, would you happen to know which of these roles the M.T. BP Endeavour used to play?
