Description:

Photo shows the cargo vessel DUKE OF TOPSAIL arriving Lewisporte in 1994. This vessel was owned by Lloyd Bugden in which he was also captain. The Duke of Topsail loaded freight in Lewisporte and delivered it along the coast of Labrador in which a lot of these little communities were completely isolated. All supplies were brought to Labrador from Lewisporte in the summer months because it would freeze solid in the winter. The Duke of Topsail was a lift on/lift off/RoRo

Duke of Topsail in top form and continues her duties between South Florida, Abaco Island, and Nassau. The Spirit of Capt. Lloyd Bugden lives on! Duke of topsail depart burin nl may 1997. delivered to new owners united abaco shipping marsh harbour abaco bahamas.vessel is still duke of topsail and trades between Marsh Harbour,Nassau and West Palm Beach Florida to this date. Regards, Eric Bugden.

Duke of Topsail is still sailing in the Carabien with United Abaco Shipping Co. from West Palm Beach to Nassau on the Bahama's. I have sailde on the ship as Duke of Norfolk wit Norfolkline. Have a look at http://www.faktaomfartyg.se/duke_of_norfolk_1972.htm
