Description:

Fredericksburg (ex Eagle Courier 1958) entering South West Pass, Mississippi river, sometime during the late 1990's or early 2000's. The fore body was new and built in 1982 and married to the stern of the older ship. In addition, the old mid-ships house was cut off and stacked on the stern accommodation. She was beached and scrapped in Bangladesh in April of 2004.

She looks a lot like the Potomac, which is still in the reverve fleet @ beaumont. She was a sister of the Yukon, Maumee and the still existing Shoshone, and underwent a similar transplant operation after a fire requiriing a new forward 1/2 to 2/3 of the ship to be replaced. I knew that design (T5-S-12a) was made for private owners also, and it looks like she was one of them also. Others I've seen would be Esso Seattle, and Faith.
