COMMUNICATING WITH OTHER MEMBERS

MAKE COMMENTS TO PHOTOS

While looking at a photograph with Description visible
>>>>Type Comment in Write Comment box
>>>>Click Add Comment link, under or over the photograph

Members should not add the first comment to their photographs, they should only reply to a comment of their own photograph by another member. Any additional details should be entered in the Description box using the Edit link above the photo


TO SEE COMMENTS MADE

While looking at a photograph (Bigger picture) see Photo Comments heading at foot of page.

Click My Photos on Home page to get to Detailed listing
See links to Comments at top of that page

TO SEE MEMBER PERSONAL MESSAGES

Under Hello after Login, click on Inbox. Red number shown indicates new message(s).
OR
At top of Home page Click Forum, Click My Messages, and use Inbox or Outbox links shown on left


SEND REPLY TO PERSONAL MESSAGES

After looking at message in Inbox

EITHER Click Reply, prepare response and send, without repeating Inbox message
OR
Click Quote, prepare response and send, with copy of Inbox message for reference


SEND PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM PHOTOS.

Click on (View Profile) after Photographer Name under bigger size photo

Under Additional Information at bottom, click Send this member a personal message
Enter a Subject before sending message typed


SEND PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM THE SMALL GREEN “ONLINE” ICON

After clicking on (View Profile) after Photographer name under bigger size photo
Enter a Subject before sending message typed

ENTER OR MODIFY EMAIL ADDRESS

Click Settings link under Hello after Login

Then under Modify Profile
>>>> set or modify details with Account Related Settings link
>>>> Then click Change profile

Members must enter an email address when identifying themselves, but may choose to hide it.

Many/most members use a Shipspotting only email account


SEND EMAIL MESSAGES.

Click on Photographer name (View profile) under bigger picture

Copy email address (if not hidden) to use in your email message program

Members are not otherwise able to communicate by email with other non Admin members via the site


RECEIVE EMAIL MESSAGES

At the address entered when you identified yourself (if not hidden)
