ADDING AND/OR EDITING FAQS

1. Adding
a new FAQ

Click on the red Site Admin tab on the Home page top row of tabs.

Available only to Admins

On Admin Menu, Click on FAQ Editor Index

TO ADD NEW FAQ

Enter name in Add FAQ Box, click Add

If needed, use [move} on the FAQ line
Select group from drop down menu to Move to group

2. Changing
the name of a FAQ


Click on the red Site Admin tab on the Home page top row of tabs

Available only to Admins

On Admin Menu, Click on FAQ Editor Index to get to required FAQ


Click Rename on same line. Enter the new name, Click Rename box

3. Editing
an existing FAQ


Click on the red Site Admin tab on the Home page top row of tabs

Available only to Admins

On Admin Menu, Click on FAQ Editor Index to get to required FAQ


Click on FAQ Name.

Either scroll to blue heading (Question) to be edited and click Edit
OR
click on {Edit} for question to be edited

With Google Chrome browser, the Question and Answer boxes can be made larger for easier for use by dragging the handles in the bottom left hand corner.

Basic html is supported, so adding (closed up) < b > text< /b > around a text makes it bold; < i > text < /i > makes it italic; and < u > text < / u> underlines

To add a full width horizontal line type (closed up ) < h r >


Add, amend or delete required words to box(es) for Question and/or Answer

Click Enter at beginning of first line of Answer, to improve layout of end result

When finished, Click Commit changes
If not satisfied with result click Edit again
Repeat until satisfied

If OK, click Click here to return to index

Repeat above cycle for all questions to be edited

4. Adding
Images to a FAQ

TO PREPARE TO ADD IMAGES TO FAQ

Click on the red Site Admin tab on the Home page top row of tabs

Available only to Admins

Ensure image file is in JPG format, and in a readily accessible location

On Admin menu, Click on Add Images
Choose Photo File (Browse)
Enter other optional data

Click Upload photo, await “successful” message where required. ignore words such a Crew Upload support image

TO VIEW IMAGES AVAILABLE

Click on the red Site Admin tab on the Home page
Available only to Admins

On Admin menu, Click on View Images
Note Image id:xx for required image(s)
Ignore words such a Crew Upload support image

TO ADD IMAGE TO FAQ

At the place where you want the image to be displayed, add the text: (supportimage:xx)
Where xx is the Image id:number noted as above.


TO DELETE AN IMAGE ADDED TO THE VIEW INAGES FILE

Answer from Henrik 12 October 2010. They can stay in the support images database forever. I will build a tool to make a delete image button later. Images still in use in any FAQ will *not* have a delete button

5. Re
Site Standards for all photos


Click on the red Site Admin tab on the Home page top row of tabs.

Available only to Admins

On Admin Menu, Click on FAQ Editor Index to get to required FAQ

When adding a new category standard FAQ never copy this full text in. Just add the text, closed up from here, ( a n s w e r : 91 )

To change the text that is included in all these category FAQs for site standards - edit Question 91. This one is found as Question 1 in the FAQ Site standards for all photos. As you edit that single question (or rather answer) - all changes are directly visible in all Category standard FAQs.

6. Adding
a link to an Internet page, including the site


Click on the red Site Admin tab on the Home page top row of tabs

Available only to Admins

On Admin Menu, Click on FAQ Editor Index to get to required FAQ


Copy the address from the target address bar and type: paste the address in
Result is the text looking like: addressyoupastein

Replace the %20 with a white space, as the %20 is just the code for the blank, and the link will look better without the %20 in it
