River Embley was actually beached for demolition in June, renamed Rover and flying the Sierra Leone Flag.
River Boyne should soon be on the same way : sha has been renamed SS Rover 11...

G'Day Cody,

I fear not. Rio Tinto have had a series of Post Panamax vessels built (RTM WEIPA, WAKMATHA, etc), UK flagged, with Aussie voices on at least a couple of them. The rest of the capacity on the Weipa-Gladstone bauxite run appears to be on chartered tonnage. We can probably expect the RIVER BOYNE to disappear soon too (August is the rumour).

Cheers,
tropic

Two Aussie ships to the breakers in a very short period of time, that sucks. Do you know if she will be replaced by another Aussie flagged and crewed ship?
