I well remember her. In 1978 I was a us customs inspector on pier 9a in Brooklyn. Letitia docked to pick up several large new helicopters that were flown down from sikorsky in Connecticut. I ate aboard several times for the two days she was loading. I'll never forget when she departed and slipped away from the dock. headed for Malaysia. do I ever wish I was aboard.

I've seen a lot in this Lykes vessels in the 60/70
Impressive cargo ships at that time.

My ever most, most, most, etc favorite "merchantman" ..... these series of the Lykes Lines top beautiful cargo ships ..... actually, I "fell in love" with LOUISE LYKES, the first in the serious, and the sister of Letitia.
