Entered service in 1969 in Europe as the 'Stena Danica'. Sold to BC Ferries (Canada) in 1974, & renamed 'Queen of Surrey'. In 1980 she was renamed the 'Queen of the North' at the time she began serving on BC Ferries routes in the northern 'Inside Passage', and across Hecate Strait to Haida Gwaii (aka the Queen Charlotte Islands).
