Please, Mike, don't rub it in that I never wrote down any dates when shooting.......I have no idea when I took this picture apart from "early eighties"

From LSI....TYNEBANK departed Hamburg (2/3/81) for New Orleans - calling at Havre (Sd 5/3/81).
So it is just possible she called at Rotterdam between those dates i.e. in/out same tide or there was another voyage....

And Derek, if you know that you have to look for specific name you'll always find it much easier...

Hi Pieter,

Look at the name closely and you can just make it out as Tynebank. According to Miramar she was the only NNL ship chartered by Bank and it was only for some months as she was later renamed Keta Lagoon also in 1981.

Derek

OK guys, as long a no other ship of the Black Star Line (which where I worked was referred to as the Never Come Back Line) ships was chartered out to Weir, can I take it that Derek has hit the jackpot? And that this photo indeed represents something rarely seen?

@Pieter,
there are many, many photos uploaded to SS, many ships look very similare, but I've found not one which does match exact.

There are only different windows on port superstructure.
Ship was built at HHI, Ulsan
