I was sorting out some old photos, one, LEISE MAERSK led me to these photos. I saw her on 21st September 1996 so must be IMO 8300119 and she looks identical to this photo.
I have done a quick scan and posted

I'm no expert so will agree with your better knowledge.

All ships in this class had their accommodation heightened to stow an extra layer of boxes.
David Regina was renamed in december 1995, so she is the original Leisa, to free the name for the big newbuilding Regina Maersk who came into service 1996, And the name Leisa was available as the one on the picture was at that time sold for MSC (Military Sealift Command) service.
Cheers,
Roy

But which is this if it was taken in 4/1995, as 7825409 was apparently sold to US Government in 5/1994, and the former REGINA MAERSK not renamed until 12/1995? Perhaps there is something wrong with these dates?

1995 sold to US Navy, converted to Shughart Class Large Medium Speed Roll on/Roll Off ship by National Steel and Shipbuilding, San Diego, CA
1997 USNS YANO T-AKR-297 entered service with Military Sealift Command
The ship was renamed after Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Rodney J.T. Yano, but it's name is simply Yano.
