@lappino: I have experienced the same: filling the IMO but it is not saved. The reason: from copying it from for instance MarineTraffic, it secretly puts a blank before and/or after the IMO and this website is not that good programmed to delete it. So for this website the IMO is of the wrong length and therefore not stored (but indeed without warning).

Thanks, asnyk. Now I see that her IMO number was missing from the original upload. This is an issue with uploading using Internet Explorer: I copy and paste the vessel's IMO number in the the appropriate field, but it does not appear with the uploaded photo. I do not tick the box "Irrelevant" for the IMO, but still I don't get the warning message - only the IMO number is simply not there in the end. I see this as a software glitch: copy/pasting gets this result, so I have to enter the numbers one by one, and only then it works...
