She was under arrest at Brest since October 1996 as W M VACY ASH and was just released and renamed. She proceeded on November 27th 1997 bound to Istanbul.


Note near the forward mast, the two small derricks on each side used to put ashore a crew member to take the lines, when the ship must moor at a 'waiting berth' without shoremen, at the entrances of the Great Lakes or Saint-Lawrence locks.
