Description:

Last time I took a photo of this old Japanese fast ferry she was laid up at Aioi in Japan. Things were seeming to be moving in the right direction for her, as she was moved to Sokcho port, South Korea, and presented with her new name in September 2019. She was supposed to start trading on South Korea - China - Russia - Japan route from March/April 2020, after some refitting, but then the virus came.

The way she was looking when I took this photo, Bangladeshi beach is not so unthinkable destination now, her being 24 years of age and all...

She has been idle for a long time now and probably needs to be put through her fifth special survey soon, never cheap.

I do hope she makes it though. One of the best looking modern ferries around.

Thanks for your comment, Ralph. I was surprised to see her there, I have thought that she was already gone... I hope there's still some future for her.

Cheers
