Built 1900 for the Furness Railway Co., Barrow-in-Furness (most sources give 1900 as year of build but clydeships.co.uk also notes that she was not registered until 8th May 1902). Originally fitted with coal-fired steam engines.
1923: owner merged with several other railway companies, forming the London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS).
1957: re-engined with diesels; a new funnel was also fitted
1st January 1948: LMS taken over by British Railways; vessels operated by the London Midland Region.
1978: British Rail's marine division's name changed to Sealink U.K. Ltd.
On privatisation of BR in 1984, ownership passed to Sea Containers; vessels operated under the Windermere Iron Steamboat Company name.
1993: sold to Bowness Bay Boating Co; operated under Windermere Lake Cruises name
1998: sold for scrapping at Lakeside.
