The names were supposed to honor big building sites of Polish socialism - new factories, power plants, etc.
Eventually, plans were changed and only "Konin", "Świecie" and "Ursus" remained at PLO, 4 ships were sold to Turkey and two more were chartered by Chipolbrok. So, altogether nine ships were built:
