"Amalia" was 3rd vessel of B-444 series from Gdansk Shipyard:

Being in fact a semicontainer or - simply - general cargo ship, she could carry:
- 210 TEU on hatch covers and in holds (without container guides);
- 18000 cbm of general cargo;
- 1680 cbm of refrigerated cargo (Hold No.5);
- 750 cbm in cargo tanks (oil or grain).
To handle all this cargo, she was equipped with:
- one 60t Stulcken for holds No.2 and 3;
- one 30t Stulcken for holds No.3 and 4;
- sixteen 5t derricks.
By the way, we can see the reason, why some ships had their aft mast painted black and -
- starting from "Sao Tome" - why the funnel was raised.
