Description:

The 1985 Wismar built CARIBBEAN QUEEN is seen in Alfred Basin, Birkenhead, on 5th June 1998. It seems that she was owned by Empresa Navegacion Mambisa of Cuba, managed by Nordstrand Maritime & Trading Ltd of Piraeus and on charter to Orion International Line (of Argentina or Dubai?)

She finally arrived off Alang on 9th April 2009 for beaching and breaking

Orig launch. 31-12-1984 as THALASSINI AVRA, Greek buyer Lemos & Pateras, Piraeus, withdrew from the acquisition and completed as SANTA RITA for Cosmos-Shipping Monrovia (Hamburg-Sud-Group). Delivered 30-9-1985.
