Description:

The QUEEN OF AMPELOS (built in 1960 at Le Trait, France, as PENCHATEAU) is seen moored at Tarnos docks where she has unloaded a full cargo of phosphates. She entered the port of Bayonne on October 4th 1976. She has been seized by authorities because of debs and wages unpaid. She will be moved to a waiting quay near the Town hall where she will remain for 17 months. (See my other publications about the story of the vessel in Bayonne).
