Description:

24/05/2022, Old Harbour, Zadar, Croatia.

The ship's name translates as 'The Queen of the Seas".
The vessel was designed to train vocational school, and university students, in nautical studies.

It is a 'Tall Ship' training vessel , owned by the Croatian Government, specifically, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport, and Infrastructure.
The ship is managed by Jadrolinija.

The keel was laid on 12/08/2008, and was completed on the 25/03/2010 by Montmontaža Greben Shipyard, Vela Luka, Kor?ula, Croatia (Yard number unknown)
296 g.t.

The ship is fitted with an auxiliary engine, a Cummins Type KTA 19 M3, producing 894kW, and two electrical generators of 373 kW.

I have driven to Crna Gora (Kolasin, Kotor & etc.) a few times in the past, but, alas, not this time. Tomorrow I head for Koper. The time flies when you are on holiday!

I think she replaced the training ship Jadran that was owned by Yugoslav navy but was moved do Montenegro at the beginning of the war in 1991. As she was registered in Split, Croatia claims her as her own.
