The Greek ss Chryssi sank on 26 October 1938 after collison with Portugees ss Maria Chistina .

following from the Newpaper of Maassluis 21st November 1938
The ss Chryssi was outward bound from the port of Vlaardingen with the ebb tide on a sunny day when they end up in a fogpatch.
They desited to drop the anchor (this was before the radar).
When they turned around by the current the Maria Christina came out of the fog and collided.
According statements from Maria Christina the were coming shortly before the collision in a fogpatch. While dropping the speed a ship appeared straight ahead of them. They were unable to avoid a collison.
