This is the 1926 built 'Beljeanne'. http://www.tynebuiltships.co.uk/B-Ships/beljeanne1926.html Note the lack of freeing ports along the length of the upper deck.
What led me to this earlier ship was the four master astern of her which is one of three built by Napier, Shanks and Bell on the Clyde for Japanese owners in the late 1890s. Kawichi Maru, Sanuki Maru, and Tamba Maru. All three scrapped by 1935. http://www.clydeships.co.uk/view.php?year_built=&builder=230&a1Page=9&ref=18792&vessel=KAWACHI+MARU#v

This dates the photo as 1926 - 1935.

That is a serious load of steam locomotives.
