Thanks for the link Manfred. I've found that website, too, sometime after I uploaded my "Hitzacker" photos. However, bos-fahrzeuge.info also seems to have no information about the one in Eckhard's photo.

Hi Eckhard, looks like a former German customs vessel, possibly built by Schless shipyard at Wesel in the mid or late 1950s. Unfortunately Neuburgweier or BSR 1626-B didn't get me anywhere. But I think here's a sister vessel: https://www.shipspotting.com/photos/1559424
