Hi Ken,
Pacific Envoy was 9,349 grt. Think this vessel is much smaller.
Here is a link to a photo of Pacific Envoy.

I think this may be the "African Prince" ex Pinemore (Johnston Warren Lines). Probably just after renaming in 1965, which would explain the abscence of the "Fleur de lis" on the funnel.
Please have a look at this image of the Pinemore and see what you think.

Another possibillity is the "English Prince" ex Beechmore a sister ship to the Pinemore changed name also in 1965.

Hope this is of some help.
All the best

Hi Derek,

You are right, she is smaller, I now think that she is the African Prince, I have now discovered a note made at the time about the missing funnel logo for Prince Line of the Prince of Wales feathers, the memory fades with age you know.
Thanks for your help, I have now updated it.

Regards Ken

Hi Ken,
Good to know we have pinned this one down as well!
Just fortunate there were some images to compare it to, always jolts the old memory.
All the best and superb shot by the way!
regards
Derek
