M/V Discovery Sun arriving at Freeport. This ship ran on a daily round trip from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, to Freeport. It brought both vacationers and beach day trippers to Grand Bahama, but also was used by Grand Bahama residents to go shopping in Florida. Launched in 1968, 11,979 gt. Operated by Discovery Cruises. Previously known as Freeport and as Scandinavian Sun. IMO: 6815158. MMSI: 308002000. Scrapped in 2012.
