Built 1944 by Kaiser Company Inc Shipyard No 4 at Richmond / California, yard# 63. Dimensions: 103.23 / 98.74 x 15.34 x 8.08 m, 3920 grt, 2214 nrt, 5940 dwt. Two 6-cyl Nordberg diesels, 1700 hp, 10.5 knots. War built cargo type C1-M-AV1.
Launched 2 September 1944, on 3 January 1945 to U.S. Navy as BEAVERHEAD AK161, 13 March 1946 to U.S. Maritime Commission as BEAVERHEAD, March 1947 as HERA to K.N.S.M., official number 2155 Z AMST 1947. February 1963 as OMAR EXPRESS to Bahamas Line, in 1967 rebuilt as cement tanker CEMENTO PONCE for Caribbean Cement Carriers Corporation, in 1976 sold as VANESSA for Corregidora del Caribe S.A.,in 1985 to Industrias Metaliicas La Pesca C.A., scrapped 1987.
