Description:

Britain S.S. Company (Watts, Watts)'s 1955 Goole built SANDRINGHAM QUEEN is seen off Battery Point, Portishead exactly fifty years ago today, on 15th October 1972, waiting to enter the Dock, outside of Bristol, to discharge a cargo of coal for the power station.

Although facing west the two pennants indicate that she was inbound.

Scrapped at Ravenna in January 1983
